Data analytics
200 learners, 267 workshop hours, 6 modules
In analytics, artificial intelligence has cut the road from raw data to a finished chart from days to minutes. It has also cut the road to a chart that looks convincing and is wrong. We teach both sides: how to use the speed and how to check whether the result holds.
What employers asked for
- AI-supported data visualisation, named by 52 per cent of surveyed companies
- Automated statistical analysis, 48 per cent
- Machine learning basics, 35 per cent
What the six modules cover
- Preparing and cleaning data, because everything downstream depends on it
- AI-supported visualisation and matching the chart to the question
- Automated statistical analysis and reading what the tool returned
- Machine learning basics without advanced mathematics, at the level of intuition and use
- Where bias in data comes from and how to spot it
- Presenting a result to someone who does not work with data
What a participant can do afterwards
- Bring a dataset to a state where it can actually be worked on
- Build a readable chart and justify that particular choice
- Point out where an analysis may mislead
We work on open datasets and free tools so participants can keep practising after the course ends.
